We love our big babies, don’t we? My Diesel is 7+ and starting to show signs of big-dog old-age. Kinda sad, maybe, but it gives his dad and me more excuses to baby him and just let him enjoy life!

Ruefey is 1 year old this month! Wow, he is a funny dog! He is also very protective, I think too protective. My 6 kids play rough with him and he loves it, but- he can get too agressive if he thinks they are going to hurt each other. I can’t get him to stay in the yard- he jumps the fence and goes completely around the block. I just let him, he knocks on the front door when he is back. He thinks he is a person and gives hugs without catching his nails on you(arms around your waist. We love him and he loves us! He is a crybaby when we have been gone for a few hours- he lets us know how much he missed us:) (loud happy whining)

i am looking for a labranard puppy. i live on the northeast side of iowa. if anyone knows of any breeders please let me know! I’ve had a family dog my whole life but this would be MY first dog. i am VERY interested in this breed!

Congrats, Kelly! Since there is such a difference between labs and St. B’s, our vet said Maria could be anywhere from 50-150 lbs. Luckily at two years old, she’s plateaued at 85 lbs. or so. As far as drool, we were prepared for it, but she only really drools when she’s mouthwatering for a treat [...]

It is with great sadness that I must report that Riley no longer lives with us. I know he was just a puppy but his size and level of energy created great issues with out Lasa Apso and our granddaughters. He while only playing created a situation where our Lasa Apso had to be rushed to the vet for stitches. I am thankful that this did not happen to our young grandaughters. Riley was the best dog I have ever had and if I lived in a cabin alone he would be my partner but now another family will get the opportunity to enjoy him. I miss him every day . Iwish you all well .
Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, large breed mixes can be difficult to predict both in size and temperament. Best wishes!
