Slow start and poor timing for the site

  1. Hi to anyone reading this. I know there's a few because I've seen a couple people at least register on the site. ;)

Apologies for not getting more up and running here recently. "Real" life has prevented me from focusing much time on adding additional content and information to the site. So it's been a slow start due to poor timing on my part.

However, please feel free to use these forums to chat with other Labranard fans. I still see a number of replies to my original blog post that started this whole idea for a website. I was hoping to get those people to come here and use a more friendly venue for chatting about Labranards.

  2. Hi there!

We adopted an 8-week old labranard from an animal shelter in northern Vermont, last Saturday. "Maria" (which was her shelter name, and our son insisted we keep it) is a very sweet, fairly easy puppy! She's all black with a faint whisper of white on her chin and tummy.

She was born on 12/31/2008, weighed 9 lbs on 2/10/09, and 13 lbs on 2/21/09. We're looking to see where she falls in the 50-150 lb. mature range! She has been very responsive to training so far...already sitting on command (unless heavily engaged in play) and almost housebroken (and piddles on the paper if she can't make it!)

What are others' experiences with this mixed breed? We'd love to hear more.
You can see a picture of Maria here:
